Ever since ‘Actor’ Dayal Padmanabhan has caught hold of the knack of cinema making in business of entertainment. In a row he has given meaningful and effective films. The previous one was ‘Aa Karaala Rathri’. Dayal is showing the way for talented makers to make use of brilliance and not the bank balance.

In this ‘Puta 109’ – the main emphasis is on just two characters – the conversation is what gives the feel of a good craftsman.

On stage the plays of Master Hirannaiah – lone talking has given enough of entertainment especially when he comes in the climax of his plays. It was hard hitting of course!

Dayal Padmanabhan in a ‘Talkathon’ has made it short and sweet with dialogues not going overboard. The hallucination in which he narrates the script that leaves audience in a puzzle for sometime till JK knocks the door in reality on reel.

It is a murder case investigation. A writer Sri (Naveen Krishna) is in front of an intelligent cop JK. The two converse on murder of Sri Wife Vaishnavi. The route of the cop Sri Changes is quite interesting. The suspect on publisher, AC mechanic, brother of Vaishanavi Varun, house maid Vishalamma …follows in the conversation of the murder that happened between 9 and 10 in the night. At this time Sri was in Haasan for release of his book is what you have to believe in the conversation.

As the cop produces the main evidence – a knife Sri is startled. When the missing page content of a forensic book is revealed – Sri is confirmed that the needle is pointing to him.

What happens further is not right to explain here. You have to watch it on silver screen for a very good experience.

Naveen Krishna cool and composed performance is one of the highlights while JK stiff argument is main stay of the film. Vaishnavi has a touch and go role as ambitious wife of Naveen Krishna. Sri known for editing department has good stay in a short role.

Only one song and lovely background score from Ganesh Narayan is value addition. PKH Doss close up shots are impeccable.

There is no reason for you to miss this film. Just go and watch. Murder and suicide both are bad to the society!
